Spring Programme 2018

by @greensnightout on February 8th, 2018

Knitters love winter, and here at Granny Greens we’re no different. We like to put on our best hats, mitts and scarfs to revel in all that woolly hand knit goodness. Edinburgh has certainly been a bit damp and chilly of late but we’ve spotted the odd snowdrop and we’re certain that spring is just around the corner.

We’ve got plenty to look forward to over the next few months in our new Spring 2018 programme. We’re keep up our ‘try something new’ motto and each month we’ve got a workshop or activity planned. We’ll be adding in a few outings and visits as the days grow longer so watch the blog for details. We’ll still be at Akva most Mondays and will share any venue changes on our social media pages.

Jan 22nd – Granny Green’s Shawl-A-Long launch

Feb 19th – Knitting and Crochet Surgery
We’ll have our best knitters and crocheters on hand to (try to) answer all your yarny queries. Pull that WIP out of the sin bin and bring it along for a bit of TLC.

March 15th – 17th – Edinburgh Yarn Festival

March 19th – Edinburgh Yarn Festival show and tell. What did you make? What did you buy?! If you’re still in Edinburgh, come and join us for our annual yarn festival debrief.

April 16th – Pincushion Sewing Workshop – Keep those pins under control (and in our case out of the hoover) with these simple to make pin cushions. Materials provided, small donation requested.

May 21st – Beading Workshop – This workshop may be in an alternative venue – details to follow

June 18th – Embroidery Workshop – details to follow.

We’ll be at Akva as usual every Monday 6-8pm and workshops will be there unless otherwise stated.

We look forward to seeing you there.
