As spring slowly turns into summer or perhaps winter (again!) the Granny Greens ladies have been busy. A number of Granny Greeners recently had a successful trip to the Edinburgh Knitting and Stitching Show. They came home laden with sufficient yarn and fabric goodies to keep them going till…oh at least the next craft show! There are felt foxes and fabric bags planned. We look forward to seeing the finished products.
The sock-a-long is continuing with two socks now completed albeit not for the same pair! We have so far avoided the dreaded second sock syndrome and tears. Again big thanks to Michelle for her enduring patience.
45 plus squares have been parcelled up and posted to Knit-A-Square in South Africa to be sewn into blankets for Aids orphans.
Granny Greens and the Town Mouse Knitters met for a crafting session aka a ‘Rumble in the Craft Jungle’ on the 24th May in the centre of Edinburgh. There is a plan afoot for a joint outing to Portabello in August.
The Summer Programme is being developed at present. Just some final logistics to work out. Watch this space!
