Special Workshop: Crafting for a Cause

by @greensnightout on October 22nd, 2013

We’ve set aside next Monday, 28th October, for a very special Granny Green’s Big Night Out.  Meeting at Central Hall (NOT Red Squirrel) at our regular time of 18:00 – 20:00, we will be challenged, inspired, and motivated to craft for a cause.  Our own Marvellous Mary will tell us a bit about the charity for which she perpetually crochets granny squares.  Orphans are shown love and warmth with a gift of a handmade blanket.

After Mary shares about who, what, and how, we will get the needles clicking to make some squares for the kids.   If you have wool/yarn and needles to bring, great.  If not, no worries. We will have plenty to share.

Note:  Any color of wool/yarn is fine, but we aren’t encouraging pale colors, as the blankets will rarely, if ever, be washed.

Please feel free to bring friends along. We will have plenty of room to spread out.

Snacks and drinks will be provided, but we will have a donation cup to help offset the cost of room rental. (£2 suggested)
