AUTUMN PROGRAMME UPDATE
There have been a few changes to the Autumn Programme since my last update, so here is the revised version!
3rd Craft Drop-in – Bring along whichever crafty project you have been working on, or want advice with. There’s been a lot of knitting going on since our knitting surgery at the beginning of September, so if you are looking to learn more about how to knit, now is a good time!
10th Craft Drop-In – also, don’t forget to ask Fiona for one of the books for next week if you haven’t had a chance to yet.
17th Book Group – ‘Adoption Papers’, by Jackie Kay – The book group is open to all and Fiona has a supply of books from Edinburgh library – ask her for the book if you would like to read it. This is the first poetry book we’ve done; it has the advantage of being something you can read bits of, without feeling that you need to read the whole thing before the book group! The book group is open to all, although we will also be running our usual craft drop-in alongside it.
24th Craft Workshop – Rag-Rugging with Rhian (there will be another blogpost on this later in the week – keep checking the blog for more details!)
Each month we will have a different, focused workshop so that we can all try out crafts that we may not have attempted before. This month it is rag-rugging – there will be a small fee to cover the cost of the hessian, and if you want to take part we’d ask you to bring in some bits of material. Here’s the epic rag-rug that Rhian made earlier in the year!
7th – Craft Drop-in (as above)
14th – Craft Workshop – Scrapbooking
Deborah is going to lead this workshop – there will be another blog post to update you all on the details.
21st – Social Media Drop-in
28th – Craft Drop-In
5th – Craft Workshop – Christmas Cross-Stitch
12th – Craft Drop-In
19th – Book Group – Hitch-hikers Guide to The Galaxy – Douglas Adams
We will then have a break for the holidays and be back in January. If you have any suggestions of things you would like to be included in next year’s programme (books, craft workshops, anything else!) let Sarah, Fiona, Deborah or myself (Anneleen) know, and we’ll see what we can do!
