It was great to see so many familiar, and new, faces at Monday’s Knitting Surgery. Looking forward to seeing the new knitting projects progress over the coming weeks!

Granny Greens have lots of crafty things planned for the Autumn term. We are excited to announce that, as well as the Monday night programme, we are planning to organise some occasional ‘formal’, more structured workshops on other evenings / weekend daytimes. We’ll update you on the details in the next couple of weeks.

Although we have certain programmed, more structured activities planned for some weeks, everyone is encouraged to bring along any craft projects they are working on, every week. Taking part in the workshops and book group is not necessarily for everyone, and there will always be some of us who want to spend the evening getting on with our own craft projects and having a good old natter! This is all part of the Granny Greens ethos of being open and diverse, with a range of interests and welcoming people to drop in and out at any point during the evening.

Here’s the all-new programme for the next 10 weeks:

12th Craft Drop-In – bring along whatever crafty project you are working on, or just join us for the banter and cake!

19th Social Media Drop-In – Sarah will be guiding us through the world of Blogging and its potential. This is an informal, bi-monthly drop-in, focussing on a different area of social media each time.

26th Craft Drop-In

3rd Craft Workshop – Patchwork – Each month we will have a different, focused workshop so that we can all try out crafts that we may not have attempted before.

10th Craft Drop-In

17th Book Group – ‘Adoption Papers’, by Jackie Kay – The book group is open to all and we’ll have a supply of books from Edinburgh library. More information to follow!

24th Craft Drop-In

31st Craft Drop-In

7th Craft Workshop – Quilting

14th Craft Drop-In
