Christmas Crafty – 13th December 2010
Firstly, thank you for your patience with our two weeks of cancellations – I know it’s frustrating, but the decisions were taken purely on safety grounds. However, this Monday’s Christmas Crafty is going ahead one way or another, even if it’s just me sitting on the steps of The LOT wrapped in fairy lights and singing Winter Wonderland!*
On Monday evening we’ll be running a Secret Santa for anyone who wants to participate – bring a gift, leave with a gift! The guide value is around £10. Handmade is obviously welcome! Do wrap your item, just because unwrapping is 99.9% of the fun of presents!
We’ll have a few mini-workshops running on the night, and because the group’s a talented bunch they’re run by regulars!
Lynn will be giving a workshop in making a folded paper star decoration. She’ll be providing recycled paper on the night, but if you want to use your own paper you’ll need 16 squares, with the sides no smaller than 54mm.
Everyone’s welcome along on Monday – whether you’re a regular or have never been before, pop in, say hello, and join in with both the Secret Santa and the workshops! If you love an excuse to dress up , please do – the same goes for those who prefer an excuse to dress down!
We start at 6pm and will be going until 9pm. The evening’s free, although if you fancy making a donation to cover some of the material costs, the elves probably won’t say no!
See you on Monday – if you have any questions, leave them in the comments and I’ll try to remember to answer them!
*So hurry up and melt, snow: the world shouldn’t be exposed to such horror!
